Licensed security staff for every type of site

We operate as a security staffing agency for businesses and security contractors that need licensed officers to cover permanent posts, holiday absence, events and short-term risks. Every officer we supply for licensable work holds the correct Security Industry Authority licence for the role, and we check it on the public SIA register before the first shift and again during longer assignments. Assignments range from a single weekend of event cover to long-term static posts.

Security work covers very different environments. A retail officer needs confidence dealing with shoplifting and members of the public, clear note-taking and an understanding of what they can lawfully do. A construction site officer may be working alone overnight with CCTV, access control and regular patrol checks. Corporate front of house roles need a polished manner and good knowledge of visitor and fire procedures, while events need door supervisors who can manage crowds, searches and ejections safely. We match officers to the environment, not just the licence.

Before a placement starts we ask for your assignment instructions, so officers know the site layout, reporting lines, emergency procedures and any key holding or alarm response duties. Most security cover runs on 12-hour day or night shifts, and we keep officers available for weekend and bank holiday cover. If you use a patrol tracking system or incident reporting app, tell us and we will brief officers on it before deployment.

Why use a specialist security staffing agency

01

Licences checked on the register

We confirm each officer's licence type, status and expiry on the SIA register before deployment, and recheck during longer assignments so lapses are caught early.

02

Officers matched to the environment

Retail, construction, corporate and event security need different skills. We place officers whose experience fits the site, not just anyone holding a valid licence.

03

Assignment instructions briefed

Officers are briefed on your assignment instructions, reporting lines and emergency procedures before their first shift, so they can take over the post with confidence.

04

Cover for nights and holidays

We keep licensed officers available for night shifts, weekends and bank holidays, which are often the hardest posts to fill at short notice.

SIA licensing and vetting

Under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, anyone carrying out licensable security activity under contract must hold the right SIA licence, and it is an offence to knowingly supply unlicensed officers for that work. We check licences on the SIA register, confirm right to work and verify employment history. Where a client requires screening to BS 7858 or additional checks for sensitive sites, talk to us about what can be arranged.

  • SIA licence verified on the public register
  • Licence type matched to the role, such as door supervisor or CCTV
  • Right to work checks completed
  • Employment history and references checked
  • Additional screening arranged where clients require it

Frequently asked questions

Do all your officers hold an SIA licence?

Every officer we supply for licensable security work holds a valid SIA licence of the right type. Door supervisors hold a door supervisor licence, CCTV operators hold a public space surveillance licence, and so on. Some roles, such as event stewards who are not carrying out licensable activity, do not need one, and we will tell you clearly if that applies.

Can you cover a post at short notice?

We can often cover static guarding posts quickly, same day where possible, particularly for standard security officer roles. Specialist posts, such as CCTV control rooms or sites needing extra screening, take longer. Send us your assignment instructions early so any officer we send can be briefed properly before arriving.

How are security shifts charged?

We charge an hourly rate per officer, agreed in advance and based on the licence type, location and shift times. Nights, weekends and bank holidays may carry a different rate. Long shifts are common in security, so we monitor working hours to make sure officers get the rest the Working Time Regulations require.

Can officers carry out key holding and alarm response?

Yes, where the officer holds the appropriate licence and the arrangements are in place, such as secure key storage and agreed response procedures. Talk to us about the sites, the likely number of call-outs and your response expectations, and we will advise whether a dedicated mobile officer or cover from a static team is more suitable.

What happens if an officer does not arrive for a shift?

An unattended post is a real risk, so tell us immediately. We will contact the officer and send a replacement as quickly as we can. For critical posts we can agree a handover procedure where the outgoing officer stays on until relief arrives, within the limits of working time rules.
