Clinical and care staff you can trust

As a healthcare recruitment agency, we supply nursing and care staff to providers who cannot afford gaps on the rota. Our candidates include registered nurses, healthcare assistants, senior carers and support workers, available for agency shifts, block bookings and permanent roles in hospitals, private clinics, nursing homes, residential care and domiciliary care. We also recruit permanent nurses and senior carers for providers building their own core team.

Care settings differ a great deal, and we place people accordingly. A nurse used to an acute ward brings different strengths from one who has spent years in a nursing home managing medication rounds and care plans. Support workers for learning disability or mental health services need patience, de-escalation skills and experience of positive behaviour support. Home care workers often need a driving licence, good time management and the confidence to work alone. We ask about all of this at registration and check it with referees who have worked alongside the candidate.

Rotas in care run around the clock, and we book long days, nights and weekend shifts as well as home care calls. For providers who need consistency, block bookings let the same nurse or carer work with you over several weeks, which residents and families notice and value. We keep each candidate's training, registration and DBS records up to date and can share a profile with you before the first shift.

Why care providers work with us

01

Registration checked before placement

Nurses are checked on the NMC register for a current PIN before booking, and we review any conditions on practice and recheck during ongoing work.

02

Matched to the care setting

We consider the type of service, client group and responsibilities, so a nurse placed in a nursing home understands medication rounds, care planning and working with families.

03

Consistency through block bookings

Block bookings place the same staff with you over several weeks, giving residents and patients familiar faces and cutting time spent on repeated inductions.

04

Profiles shared in advance

Before a first shift we can send a candidate profile covering training, registration, DBS status and experience, so you know exactly who is arriving.

Healthcare compliance checks

Care staff work with people who may be vulnerable, so our checks are thorough. Nurses must hold current NMC registration, and we confirm the PIN on the register. Healthcare assistants and care workers are checked for the Care Certificate or equivalent training, and candidates for regulated activity have an enhanced DBS check with the appropriate barred list check. We also complete right to work checks and obtain references, including one from the most recent care employer.

  • NMC PIN verified for registered nurses
  • Enhanced DBS with barred list check where eligible
  • Care Certificate or equivalent training confirmed
  • Mandatory training such as moving and handling recorded
  • Right to work checks and care employer references

Frequently asked questions

Are your nurses registered with the NMC?

Yes. Every nurse we place holds current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. We check the PIN on the NMC register before booking and repeat the check during ongoing work, so any lapse or change in conditions is picked up. You can ask to see the check at any time.

What training do your healthcare assistants have?

Healthcare assistants and care workers are asked for the Care Certificate or equivalent, along with mandatory training such as moving and handling, safeguarding, infection control, basic life support and fire safety. We keep copies of certificates and expiry dates. If your service needs extra skills, such as PEG feeding or medication competency, tell us at booking.

Can you cover shifts at short notice?

We can often help with short-notice shifts, same day where possible, particularly for care assistant and support worker roles. Registered nurse shifts and specialist roles can be harder to cover at very short notice. Sending us your rota gaps as early as possible gives us the best chance of filling them with suitable staff.

Who is responsible for the agency worker while on shift?

We engage the worker and handle their pay and compliance records. On shift, the worker follows your policies, care plans and supervision arrangements, and your nurse in charge or manager directs the work. If you have a concern about practice or conduct, tell us straight away so we can investigate and act.

Can we recruit an agency nurse or carer permanently?

Yes. If a nurse or carer suits your service, talk to us about our temp to perm terms. We also run permanent recruitment for clinical leads, nurses and senior carers, handling screening, interviews and pre-employment checks. Fees and transfer terms are agreed in writing before you instruct us.
